Hello, my name is Elaine Tyrrell and I am an aspiring photographer. Photography has always been an important part of my life. It helps me to express myself, and show others how I view the world. My dream, after finishing art school, is to work for National Geographic. The photography I have seen in these magazines have stuck with me since a young age. With My photography I want to inspire and teach people about the world around them. Photography has always been very important in the way that it affects society today. Our memories become blurred and the important details of a memory become fuzzy. Which is why it is important to archive memories, not just in our minds, but in photographs. Family photographers, war documentarians, and photojournalists all have the most important jobs in the world, and that’s archiving it.
“Photography is an art of observation. It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” -Elliott Erwitt
